Richard Taylor
Director and Executive Editor of the assignment report
Richard started his working career as a jackaroo, went to Monash and
got into funds
management at ANZ and NAB, before accidentally getting into the
business of
education. He set up and ran Educations Communications in Australia
for 8 years
before selling the company to the UK based EdComs. Relocating to
the UK in 2003 he
spent two years as Deputy Director at the Business Development
Unit of the then
Department for Education and Skills, where he also represented
the department on
the Government Sponsorship Steering Committee. After leaving the
DfES, he
established the assignment report in 2005, a subscription-based
business intelligence
publication looking at the UK education market. The title became
part of Meissa in
December 2007.
